"I have achieved an ITEC Diploma in Fitness Instructing and Leisure Management 2006. This includes gym, aerobics, nutrition and professional conduct. I also attained an ITEC Diploma in Personal Training, Sport and Holistic Massage at Sallynoggin College of Further Education. Having finished my studies at Sallynoggin, I then studied Sports and Exercise Science at Napier University Edinburgh for a year. I graduated in June 2008 with a Distinction at Degree level. Last year I obtained Level 4 in Sports Massage. I am constantly looking to up skill."
Daria Gerus, ITEC
Daria Gerus has been involved in Massage & Bodywork Therapies since 2010. A further study in the field of Sports Therapy & Massage has led to practising as a Sports Massage Therapist and Bodywork Therapist since. She also qualified in Advanced Orthopedic Massage Training, Sports Massage ITEC Level 4 and Neuromuscular Therapy in 2013. She has trained under the author, lecturer and Massage Hall of Fame Inductee - James Waslaski in his unique multidisciplinary approach to treatment of chronic injuries. She successfully completed the Kinesio Taping course.
Daria worked with runners and treating everyday issues such as repetitive strain injuries with persons from all walks of life. Her approach is truly holistic and focused on eliminating most forms of complicated musculoskeletal pain patterns due to repetitive stress, chronic pain, sports injuries and structural imbalances. Her background in the complimentary therapies include many massage styles like Swedish, Holistic, Indian Head, Lomi Lomi, Foot Reflexology, Pregnancy and much more. She wants you to experience many precise treatments for correcting both physical and emotional imbalances. It is believed that no single therapy is the answer for treating all conditions. Rather, it is the synergy of many techniques and disciplines integrated together that allows therapist to treat each client in a professional, individualised manner.
She has a keen interest in the fitness industry and now a love for running, swimming and nutrition. She completed the Dublin Marathon, half-marathons and lots more. She regularly attends training courses to expand her knowledge and skills. She is a member of the Irish Massage Therapists Association (IMTA) and Irish Reflexologists' Institute (IRI).
